How to get rid of that stubborn fat for females.

Happy Tuesday ya'll. How was everyone's Thanksgiving? Did everyone get a workout in before the  Turkey? If you've been following me for awhile, you know it is a family tradition to do the Turkey Trot. I usually run a 10k but since I have not been running I opted for the 5k. Let me tell you, it was tough. I was sore from my leg workout the day before, dehydrated and I had not fueled correctly. It was not a good race for me by any means. I ended up having to walk a couple times and my time was 35:00. I had an 11:09 pace which is pretty slow for me. (note: if that is your pace that is amazing! I am just saying that for me 11 is slow since I am used to doing a 9:00 mile.)

Now that the holiday season is in full swing, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about reaching your goals and getting rid of that last bit of stubborn fat. Stuffing our faces and drowning in alcohol is definitely not the plan. I realize that the holidays are meant to have a great time with the one's we love, which is much needed in this crazy world, but it also does NOT mean eating 24/7 and forgetting all the hard work you've put in the other 11 months of the year.  Remember that you will probably end up regretting it once January comes around.

Here are some Tips to get rid of that last bit of stubborn fat;

1. Diet Longer:  This isn't really what we want to hear but if you haven't lost that last bit you want, you will have to hold off just a little longer. As females, we tend to hold on to more fat in our hips, thighs and glutes. We are more 'bottom heavy" than men and the is due to estrogen. However, this is not to say that every female is like this but for the most part.

2. More Cardio: Don't go crazy with this and do 3 hours a day. Just adding 15 minutes to your cardio routine or adding an additional day ca do the trick. The main focus here is that you do NOT want to start your journey doing endless amounts of cardio; where do you go from there?" Cardio is just a tool to aid in weight loss  and not the MAIN focus.

3. Check your hormone & Estrogen levels: Sometimes theres an underlying reason as to why we are not losing. Always consult a doctor if your having trouble losing.

4. Take supplements: DIM supplement is great or an estrogen control. However, please be cautious when using these and don't abuse. Always consult with a doctor prior to starting any supplements.
