St. Patrick's Day Hangover Workout
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and I know most of you will probably be celebrating at a bar drinking tons of green beer. The fact that it lands on a Saturday means that there's no limit as to how much alcohol your going to consume because there's no work the day after! Woo hoo!
So the good times keep rolling.............until Sunday Morning. Then the room will be spinning, your head will be pounding and the thought of water will make you gag. I guess it's the price we pay for having too much of anything. Alcohol is also a depressant so you feel lethargic and lack energy. However, I've got the cure so you can get rid of that awful hangover.
Since alcohol acts as a downer, if you exercise you will release endorphins (the feel good hormone) and will act like an upper. In the words of Elle Woods " Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people don't just kill their husbands, they just don't". To get over this hangover, you want to take it easy and do a low intensity workout that won't cause you to feel worse. I've put together a couple exercises that will get the blood flowing, endorphins released and get you feeling better in no time. Listen to your body and stop if you feel sick, dizzy or your headache becomes worse.
Also, keep in mind that alcohol dehydrates you so you want to keep really hydrated today and drink lots of water. Anywhere from 120-140 oz of water should do the trick!
