Pretty Post Workout Meals

If you workout, you should know that the two most important meals you can have are your Pre & Post Workout Meals.There's a video on my YOUTUBE channel that talks a little more about the importance of these meals, why and what you should and shouldn't eat. You can watch it here

Most people stick to the same old, boring meal; the protein shake. Don't get me wrong, I usually have these when I'm in a hurry or don't want to put much thought into what I'm doing. However, there are those days that you just want something different. You want to be adventurous and experiment. Maybe even have something that is a bit appealing to the eye. Most people may fall off the bandwagon and resort to something that isn't very "clean" ( I hate using this word because there is no such thing as clean and dirty food). You don't need to do that with these two recipes that i have for you. They are extremely easy to make and the ingredients and very accessible, you can swap some of them if you want.  

Both recipes are packed with protein and carbs which are extremely necessary for a post workout meal. It also doesn't hurt that they are super cute and fun. I almost didn't want to eat it. 


Berry Beastly Acai Bowl

- 2 packs unsweetened Acai ( i got mine at Trader Joe's)

- 1 frozen banana

- 1/2 cup cashew milk ( or any other milk you may want)

- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 

- Handful of Ice

- 1 scoop whey (you can mix this in or drink it on the side)

Mix everything together until you get desired consistency. 

For Toppings:

You can Really use anything you want but this is what I put. I eyeballed it but you can measure it out in order to fit your macros

- Nature Valley Protein Granola

-Shredded Coconut

-Cocoa Nibs






Mermaid Toast

- Nature's Own Protein+ Fiber Toast

-Dannon Non Fat Vanilla Greek Yogurt




Toast the bread. while its toasting mix all ingredients together. Spread over toast. you don't have to use all the ingredients. I am just giving you options.
