You’ve been hitting the gym hard for weeks and taking the time to prep all your meals. You know that your body should be experiencing changes So then you step on the scale and … nada. Your clothes aren’t looser, and that scale hasn’t budged. What gives?

Your first reaction is to just give up on everything your doing. You’ve lost all hope and suddenly go into a downward spiral playing victim. You feel as if you will never lose the weight nor look the way you want. However, it takes time to notice a difference. Especially if this isn’t your first rodeo. As women, we also tend to struggle more than men (thanks mother nature). And I get it, its extremely frustrating to be starving, working hard and not see any changes. Its normal to want to throw in the towel, but where is that going to get you? I’ll tell you where, definitely farther away from your goals! You will get there, I promise, but you have to keep it at it! Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither will your dream bod! Keep at it and you will eventually see and feel those changes.

In the meantime, don’t focus all your energy on the scale. Take a look at other accomplishments that you’ve been able to do. Maybe your able to complete a spinning class, or you didn’t die doing 5 minutes on the stair master. I can also be that you finally entered the weight room instead of being a cardio bunny! There are so many small “wins” that you should be focusing on during this journey! In the long run the ultimate goal is you are bettering yourself! Yes, the lbs dropping is a bonus but gaining health, feeling good about yourself, and feeling more energetic are the “big wins”. Don’t make this journey a torturous one. Try and find something you like about working out and let it become something you look forward to doing.

You got this girl! Keep it up!
