5 Memorable Milestones in My Fitness Journey

Everyone’s fitness journey will be different and that's ok. The beauty of it is that it is YOUR journey. It’s unique to you, your experiences, and goals. I don’t want you to feel that my journey is better than yours or like giving up because things didn’t happen for you like they did for me.  I just want to share my milestones in hopes that it will inspire you and motivate you.

My fitness journey started the summer before Freshman year. My best friend and I at the time joined Lady of America. We would go everyday for about 2-3 hours, but I wouldn’t say we would work out for all those hours lol. Ever since that summer, I always did some sort of physical activity. I’ve tackled in a couple of different exercises and fitness regimes. I finally found my love and passion with bodybuilding. Believe me, when I say, I’ve tried getting out of it and doing Crossfit, Yoga, Pilates and many more but I always go back to bodybuilding/weightlifting. It has opened so many doors and opportunities for me that I am forever grateful.

However, even though I love bodybuilding, that's not to say that I haven’t learned and grown from all these other areas of fitness that I endured. So here are my 5 Most Memorable Milestones:

  1. Deciding to start going to the gym at the age of 14.

  2. Completing 3 Half Marathons.

  3. Competing in a Triathlon with my Dad.

  4. Winning my first Bikini NPC Competition for the very first time I stepped on stage.

  5. Obtaining my Personal Trainer Certification and continuing to learn and gain knowledge from different courses that I have taken.

Some of you may have milestones that are more focused on weight loss or competitions even. It doesn’t matter what it is just EMBRACE it because it's yours!
