How I style my Jord Watch+ Giveaway!

Watches are a timeless piece (pun intended) and my new found joy. You can imagine how excited I was when Jord Watches contacted me about collaborating together and hosting a giveaway to someone in my tribe! I was super excited for all of you to be able to receive such a wonderful gift. The best part is they ask for you to measure your wrist so they can send you the right measurement and you won’t need to make any adjustments.

How to Eat Healthy on Vacation

If your following me on Instagram, then you know I just got back from a week long cruise. We went on the Carnival Conquest. Which if I’m being on honest, probably needs to retire or be renovated. It is a little old. however, the crew was amazing and the group we traveled with (all 34 of us) made the trip! We went to Grand Turks, St. Thomas (I bought some really good perfume here), Puerto Rico, and Amber Cove. We were at each port with enough time to do what we wanted to do and get back on the boat.

How Many Days a Week Should you Workout?

We live in a world where we are led to believe that more is always better. More food, more money, more hair and more exercise with no rest days. In theory that sounds great! You burn more and you will lose weight quicker. However, what your not taking into account is your hormones and stress that all affect your fitness journey.

Eating Before & After a Workout....Is it ok?

Eating your pre- workout meal (before) and post-workout (after) is more than ok. It is necessary! Only under certain circumstances would it be ok to ditch the pre-workout but that's mainly a medical reason. This is actually a rookie mistake that many of us tend to do. We have the mentality that less is more when it comes to losing weight.. So the less we eat, the skinnier we will get. Sorry to break it to you chica, but that is not the case!

I usually get tons of requests from followers and clients to post more Ab content around this time. I am going to comply, but you have to remember that your abs won’t show unless you have low body fat. What does that mean? You have to lean out by entering into a caloric deficit, I can help you with that if you’d like to send me an email at monikapaezmanagement@gmail.com. You will also need to start incorporating cardio into your routines and hitting your macros daily.

Ways to Prevent Injury

If you’ve been following me on Instagram then you will know that I injured my lower back about 4 weeks ago. Well much to my dismay, I am still not recovered and things don’t seem to be getting any better. Now, I’ve pulled my back a couple times in the past but I’ve usually recovered in about a week or two. This time around, I’ve going to the physical therapist and I seem to have a pinch in  my piriformis muscle. It just doesn’t seem to heal and I am starting to think there is more to this injury than I thought. Hopefully, by the time this post goes out I will know my answers and can share with you all.

Weight Loss Tips

As a fitness & nutrition coach this is one of the questions I get asked the most. Actually I lied. It’s pretty much is the ONLY question I get asked - and with good reason right? I am a fitness trainer after all. We ask our dentist if our teeth hurt and we go to our hairdresser to get our hair cut.
