Guilt Free Mofongo



  • 2lbs Green Plantains

  • 1/4 cup Turkey Bacon Bits

  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic

  • Adobo to taste

  • 2 Chicken Bouillon Cubes

  • 6 cups water


  1. Pour the water into a pot and add the bouillons.

  2. Peel the plantains and cut into 1 inch cubes.

  3. Drop the plantain chunks into the boiling water.

  4. The plantains are ready when you can stick a knife through them.

  5. Scoop the plantains into a large mixing bowl and add adobo, garlic powder, minced garlic and bacon bits.

  6. Mash everything together. Can use a potato masher

  7. Serve hot

  8. Enjoy!
